I'm a rebel

One of the big issues you always hear people complaining about when they're going through Chemotherapy is losing weight, right? I'm sure it has a lot to do with nausea, and just overall not feeling well for much of your existence...yeah, that'll do it!
Well, let me just tell you that I have not fallen prey to this side effect. Nope, in fact, I should call Guinness or something because I have recently discovered I have gained weight during my chemotherapy stint. I'm standing on the scale in the doctor's office last week going "Uhm, let me take my coat and shoes off and you do this again, that's not right!" The nurse just laughed & said "Yeah, that's probably it, your coat" I caught the sarcasm, she wasn't fooling anyone.
With the Taxol that I'm currently receiving, my tastebuds seem to have changed (hopefully not forever) and I've found myself craving things like salt & vinegar chips, pickles, candy bars and all things salty or chocolate and not the least bit healthy. Don't get me wrong, I never really ate healthy before either, but I wasn't a big chip or chocolate eater. This, coupled with the return of Starbucks into my life has spiraled me into a bigger pant size.
So, anyway I just wanted to put your minds at ease for all of you that have asked about my appetite and whether I'm keeping my weight up during chemo. No worries here, I'm up 10 lbs. and my clothes don't fit. Thanks for checking in!

Well, that was another successful mission! I was up another 2 when I went for chemo last Monday...Thanks Dillard House!!! It was all those potatoes I ate at both meals! Totally worth it, I just wore sweats and pj's all week ;)
